Hello, friend!
You can call me Jenn or Jennifer – NOT Jenny. (Blame Forrest Gump.) I live with my husband and sons in the wet wonderland of the Pacific Northwest.
After long seasons of struggle, God brought to life my dream of being a write-from-home mom. I serve on the national team for Waiting in Hope Ministries, a nonprofit organization that supports women and couples who are waiting for children. I’m passionate about building up the local church and equipping women to know Jesus through his Word.
When I’m not sipping a chai at the computer, you can find me puttering around the garden, exploring parks with my family, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks.
Thanks for taking time to get to know me. I pray that my words will help you trust the God whose grace truly frees us strivers.
My story
Becoming a mother took more tears than I could have imagined. My husband and I wrestled with infertility for several years, facing invasive surgeries, costly treatments, and a failed IVF cycle.
Over time the Lord redeemed our journey through the wilderness. He brought us our first son through adoption and our second son through a surprise pregnancy. After 5 years of secondary infertility, we got pregnant and welcomed our third son, the best surprise of 2020. Our family is a loud, rowdy testament to God’s above-and-beyond kindness.

My experience
During my waiting season, God stirred me to start a support group for women facing infertility and infant loss. I thank him for giving me the privilege to shepherd hurting women and lead local Bible studies.
In addition to my 15 years in parachurch ministry, I have 20 years of freelance writing and editing experience. My work appears at various Christian publications, including these websites. To check out my latest published articles, head here.

“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O LORD, God of hosts”

I write to share the hope of Christ revealed through his Word and in the reality of our lives. To stay updated on my writing, ministry work, and book recommendations, sign up for my newsletter.
