About Jenn

Hello, friend!

You can call me Jenn or Jennifer – NOT Jenny. (Blame Forrest Gump.) I live with my husband and sons in the wet wonderland of the Pacific Northwest.

After long seasons of struggle, God brought to life my dream of being a write-from-home mom. I serve as content director for Waiting in Hope Ministries, a national organization that supports women and couples who are waiting for children. I’m passionate about adoption, a holistic pro-life ethic, and equipping women to know Christ through his Word.

When I’m not sipping a chai at the computer, you can find me reading a good fantasy novel, exploring parks with my family, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks.

Thanks for taking time to get to know me. I pray that my words will help you see the goodness of God even in the face defeat.

My story

Becoming a mother took more tears than I could have imagined. My husband and I wrestled with infertility for several years, enduring invasive surgeries, costly treatments, and a failed IVF cycle.

By his kindness, God redeemed our journey through the wasteland. He brought us our first son through a “stork drop” adoption and our second son through a surprise pregnancy. And his wonders never cease. After 5 years of secondary infertility, we’re expecting our third son, the most welcome surprise of 2020.

My experience

During my waiting season, God stirred me to start a support group for women facing infertility and infant loss. I thank him for giving me the privilege to shepherd hurting women and lead local Bible studies.

In addition to serving more than a decade in ministry, I have 15-plus years of freelance writing and editing experience. I hold a BA in Journalism from Whitworth University and am a member of hope*writers. My work appears at various Christian publications, including these websites.
